His eyes move along her fingers then to her eyes watching them a studying intent. Then her finger touching his cheek. He didn't move or utter a sound. The smile...his lips curled in return almost a grin and then her fingers against his lip. The withdrawal of the finger almost had him leaning forward for it.
He stopped leaning forward and moved to the door opening the door. "M'lady." He gave her the exact smile she had given him a few moments earlier. A slow blink his eyes locked on hers as the cold he had felt in the room quite disappear...more of a lukewarm enviroment.

The hood slipped past to cover the greyish orbs, her head bowed in acceptance whilst the arm took upon its righful place. Giving him a gentle pat, she moved along his side away from her quarters and through the Inn's hallway, leaving little in her wake save for a bit of wonder and amusement. What a pair they would have seemed - one, having so early returned from a mysterious depature, the other seemingly just escaped from some vast war. Yes, highly amusing it was.
But there seemed nothing more entertaining to her mind at that time than to be just rid of all prying eyes, to be out in the open air once more. And who could complain of such companionship at her side?
"Our last meeting..." she began, as they finally moved away from the Inn's light into the darkness of the evening. From the distance, beyond the crests of each house and building, there could be seen the final rays of the beautiful sun, shedding its dying light before giving off to the moon's intent. Such was the feeling of her heart, breaking upon its final embraces afore the other side could take hold. In the time she had spent away, there had always been one thought to stand where others seemed to fall. The truth seemed to hold true, even know, at his side.
"Much has happened, though there existed little doubt within my mind that you would find me again... Tell me, why was it that you sought me out?"

He follows her out of the Inn, and the sight of the setting sun adds to his mood with a fiery red spreading throughout the sky. He turned towards her. With a little thinking he sighs talking slightly slow to make sure he is speaking correctly and understandable.
"I don't know...when we were talking...and I kissed you I felt something inside I haven't felt in so long. The person that feeling was associated to was my sister. Affection takes many forms and I feel it has taken a form tying me to you."
He didn't know what had made him say that. He wasn't sure that he was rightly thinking in this. Was this part of the game he was still playing...had he given up and just tipped his king. He looked down hands behind his back wrist in hand. His dark hazel eyes watch the ground ahead of him on the road as if counting the stones almost. He slowly moved down the street beside her. Being this close to her he felt those feelings returned and he realized why he had said that. He kept the amazement of why to his own being, not showing a single emotion about it on his face. His face was slightly solemn as if he had thought long and hard on that comment he had made. He waited for her to talk back. The sun set...there was the moon bright...chilling. Hmm foreboding some might say or to him a favorable sign to him.

'Twas rather hard not to laugh at the subtle fact, though she managed all the same. He had equated her with a sister? Shaking her head slightly (though more to herself than any other), she slowly moved along the deserted roadway, coming to rest at what seemed a favorable spot within a forested area. Though the moon was within full view, the impression of its surroundings left one with the sense of privacy and separation from the rest of the world. This was far more in mind to what she desired than any other place within the Kingdom itself.
Nature's own bosom had a way of lending comfort to the most plagued of hearts.
"Within your heart you hold such emotion.... at times, it brings fear into my eyes - but then I look into yours and know not what to understand anymore, other than the pools of warmth staring back at me..."
Turning towards him, she brought forth a cold hand, caressing it along his cheek as soft eyes bore into his own. Leaning forward, she drew his lips to hers, yet waited for his movement. It would not be rushed, for patience had virtues and other such satiating qualities that could leave the mind and body with a sense of fulfillment. One step at a time, all would fall within its respectful place. For now, it was just them, within the moon's pale light, alone. Together, and alone.

Farris walks alongside her. Yes he loved her. Something like his sister. It was different of course, but it was affection nonetheless. As she spoke he burrowed his brows and nodded. Then her hand touched his face and brung it down just a slight bit. He lowered his lips to hers. The lips touching and his body lighting on fire that the coldness from his body almost disappeared. They were alone on the street. He wasn't even thinking anymore. His arms moved around her waist holding her to him almost as if he would never let go. He broke the kiss and looked down at her. "Lucca. Here...now?" Simple questions. They were in the street. He enjoyed her company but he did know she was a lady of court and rumors about her and the traitor might spread quickly. Something more private but still in the open would be nice.

The taste of his lips could not have been sweeter, if her memory had been what it once was - more than a weary blur of reality, speckled with a minute sense of detail only for the eyes and heart to see. Her lids slid shut as the world blotted out around her, letting go of all such worries for an instant as the mind melded into the sharing of such exchanges.
"What is it that worries you the most?" she breathed, moving her lips back barely an inch as she studied the contours of his visage. A darkened shade passed along the impression of her complexion, though the moon held its lofty glow all the more brilliant than before.
"Do you fear that a Lady of my stature could be seen with the likes of yourself? Do you fear that somehow either will be lessened by such a discovery?" Running her finger along his lips, she smiled all the more insidiously, the singular brow raising in mild interest.
"Perhaps you are correct - stealth shall be our moderating hand. I, a Lady... you, barely a Lord of the Court. We shall make haste in the shadows, our relations whispered only betwixt the ears of courtesans..." Again, she moved his lips closer to hers, though only a breathy nip to his was all that she offered before releasing him from the embrace. Turning her back to him, she began to walk away, slowly at that, into the cool night air.
"Keep your distance then, Farris, for we never know who will be watching our step..." The counselwoman paused and turned back slightly to him, smirking beneath the cowl of her cloak. "...it would be a terrible crime if others came to know the First Chair was bedding the Traitor of the Kingdom...."
Into the night, she wandered alone, leaving him to contemplate her words - to work through them on his own. He would understand, if he was bright. But until such time, there was work to be done. The forest awaited her.

Farris heard her words and almost damned himself every word that she uttered. He had been a fool He wasn't that important. Traitor of the kingdom indeed. Only a few knew of his acts. He followed her moving closer and closer towards the woods.
Such a fool he was, the game was still so running and he had put himself in check. He had broken a rule and it was being ignored. He caught up with her just inside the woods. His arms moving to her shoulders.
"Lucca..." Her name hung in the air for a moment before he spoke again. "I am sorry that was stupid of my to believe that I was that important that people would care. Only a few know of my damn existance or what I have done even at that." He sighed kissing her neck once. "But your more important and I don't think secrecy is even needed." He kissed her neck a second time moving around her. "and simple courtesies through others shall not be needed. If to speak to each other we must use others. Then I shall be so pained everytime I speak to another person words that is meant for you." He kissed her cheek. "and only you." He then kissed her being now totally infront of her. His eyes closed as his arms moved to her waist on her hips.

The slightest hint of intrigue lofted the brow above her eye as she felt his arms wrap around her, her body nearly jumping with a bit of surprise. Perhaps she should have remembered to always keep her guard in such situations, but really, she had figured him to be one of more 'tools within his shed'. One kiss upon her neck, then another...a cheek and then he was before her, the usual expression he gave off worn upon his face. Her stern expression did not waiver as he kissed her lips, this time not allowing herself to give off any sort of reaction to the movement. Merely, she stood there, still as could be, just watching him, her eyes always trained upon him.
"Do you think it humorous, Farris, to be toying with a woman?" Her upper lip curled slightly, though she continued to remain still.
"You have been given your instruction, I do not recall giving off the slightest suggestion that there was any sort of humor or sarcasm within my voice." Straightening her cloak, she tilted her head slightly, waiting to see his reaction, though in all honesty, she was well aware of what might come next to her words. Regardless, she held her composure, stern and sure. There could be no mistaking her tone, nor her intent.
"Unless I did not make myself clear, you were dismissed."

He frowns somewhat afterwords watching her. "Toying?" He almost exclaimed, but kept to himself. "Dismissal then m'lady." He bowed. "I will leave you to your own devices in the woods." He came up and moved a distance away from her to still have her in sight.
He leaned against a tree. He would stay right here figuring out her move. It was still shrouded in darkness and he had no candle. He lifted his arms pulling himself up into the tree. He leaned bcak against the trunk and sat down on a limb.
He was slightly confused. He had sensed no dismissal in her tone. Yet he did not want to press her. She was a woman and capable of having him thrown in the dungeons again.
Then he growled at himself. Lucca wouldn't do such a thing however much he pressed. She was the one who mentioned bedding. He sighed and closed his eyes lifting his head. The moonlight falling through the trees across his face. "Oh Lucca." He whispered before falling asleep.

A brief sigh escaped her lips as she turned her back to him, eyes rolling slightly within their place before a quick shake disposed of such rude notions. It had taken him a bit longer than expected to understand her words, but in the end, what mattered was that he had left her to her own devices, and hopefully, had left her for quite some time.
Moving from her place, she continued deeper within the wooded confines of the forest, darting between shadows and brush to find a favorable location for a moment's rest. Ensuring that she had not been followed, slowly, she lowered herself to the forest floor and closed her eyes. Within her mind, she sought out her heart's desire, tendrils of thought and feeling searching the area around her for that fated signature of life. He had given her such a gift, so long ago, to be used whence she needed him. But even now, it seemed herself immature with such gifts, for another night's efforts seemed able to prove unworthy to answer her call. Another sigh would soon escape, leaving her upon the earthy terrain, questioning all that was arond her.
Had it all been worth it? The expense? The effort?
Images of Farris flitted through her mind as she recomposed her thoughts for the day, searching for some form of solace in their disappearing finitude. He wanted something more than she was willing to give, that was quite obvious. It had found its way into her lap whence they had first conjoined within her room. Ignorance had forebidden her to see it for the true form it had taken upon, and even this very night, she had difficulty understand the depth of those feelings. But his words had rung true finally within her ears, allowing her to understand where they had gone wrong. She would make him understand, make him see.
Making a face, she looked around the forested enclosure, cursing the air softly.
"Oh Noah... what traps we walk within whence we are blinded by arrogance..."
